Privacy Policy

Rave Wellness (ravewellness.org) is a harm reduction information site. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. We collect as little as possible and do not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

What we collect and why

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site — which pages are read, how long people stay, and what search terms bring them here. This helps us prioritize what content to write and improve.

Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent
• Approximate geographic location (country/region, not precise location)
• Device type and browser
• Referring website or search engine

This data is associated with a randomly assigned cookie ID, not with your name or email. We do not enable Google's advertising features or demographic tracking. Google's own privacy policy governs how Google handles analytics data: policies.google.com/privacy.

To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

We use one category of cookies:

• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): Set by Google to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These expire after 2 years of inactivity.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party retargeting. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will still function normally without them.

Embedded content

Some pages embed YouTube videos using the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. YouTube may still set cookies when you interact with an embedded video. YouTube's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

What we do not collect

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any information you don't explicitly send us. We have no account system, no login, no forms, and no comment sections. We do not collect information about what drugs you use or any other personally sensitive information.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We have affiliate relationships with:

• DanceSafe — test kits and harm reduction supplies (dancesafe.org/r/ravewellness/)
• Amazon Associates — supplements, earplugs, and naloxone (tag: ravewellness01-20)

Affiliate relationships do not influence our recommendations. We only link to products that have a direct harm reduction purpose. Pages containing affiliate links display a disclosure near the relevant links.

Hosting and infrastructure

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log request metadata (IP address, timestamp, user agent) for security and abuse prevention purposes as standard web server infrastructure. Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We do not share data with advertisers. The only third parties that receive data from your visit are Google (Analytics) and Vercel (hosting), as described above.

Your rights

Because we do not collect identifiable personal information directly, we cannot look up or delete a record associated with your name. For data held by Google Analytics, you can use Google's tools to manage or delete your data at myaccount.google.com.

If you are in the EU or UK, Google Analytics data is processed under Google's data processing terms. If you are in California, the CCPA applies to data Google holds; Google's opt-out tools apply.

Children

This site contains information about controlled substances and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle data, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will not retroactively weaken privacy protections for data already collected.
